Lightning over DC

Apr 4 2011

I was sitting at my desk last night doing some work when I was interrupted by a few repeated flashes of light. I looked out my window and there was quite an electrical storm happening in the distance. I decided to point a camera out the window to see what I would get. After about an hour of photography, this crazy photo showed up on the back of my camera.

Update: I have received many requests about prints. They are available here.

Some outtakes after the jump.

If you look closely, you’ll see that the same tower is hit in many of these photos.
