2019 EAA AirVenture

Jan 24 2021

Going through old photos from 2019 and came across some great shots of the EAA AirVenture – the best air show in the world in Oshkosh Wisconsin! We saw everything…P51 Mustangs, B-29s, F18s, F22s, F35s, and so much more. Few of my images below, the whole album here

Yellowstone – Grizzlies!

May 7 2020

(Canon EOS 5D Mark IV, 600 mm, 1/640, f/4, ISO 5000)

Had quite the adventure tracking grizzlies and black bears in Yellowstone. Tracked a mother grizzly with two cubs for a few days; resulting in a close encounter in the rain with some amazing images.

Full album and for purchase here.

Yellowstone Round 2

Aug 26 2018

Been a while since I’ve posted here – travel and shooting, funny enough, has kept me from posting here. I’ve been focused on shooting and processing, but haven’t paid much attention to publishing any of my recent work! Well, here are a few from Yellowstone last year. I have a whole backlog of images from Yellowstone (bears!) and various other world travels – Tokyo, Hong Kong, India, Vietnam, Cambodia, South Korea, and so much more. Will try to be better at posting!

Here for higher resolution or to order prints.

My 2017 Nagano Japan Ski Film

Dec 24 2017

I’m happy to announce that I’ve finally finished editing my 2017 ski film featuring my trip earlier this year when a few buddies and I traveled to Japan for the weekend in search of an adventure. The film features our trip to Hakuba, site of the 1998 Winter Olympics, as well as adventures with some local restaurants and a visit to the Japanese snow monkeys.

Yellowstone Round 1

Dec 10 2017

I spent some time this summer visiting America’s national parks. One of my favorite parks is Yellowstone – it’s so expansive and diverse, I loved just driving around looking for animals or beautiful landscapes. There was no shortage of either.

The Last of the 747s

Nov 1 2017

I spent the past weekend doing something most people think is a bit crazy: I flew from Chicago to South Korea and back in 48 hours.

Why? Primarily two reasons: (1) why not? I’ve always wanted to check out Seoul and (2) this was the last (real) time United was flying “The Queen of the Skies”, the Boeing 747.

NYC Summer Helicopter

Oct 7 2017

I’ve been trying out my luck this summer with helicopter tours of NYC, courtesy of FlyNYON. Regardless of photography, it’s a great experience overall. The pilots are generally well experienced and you can get so close to some of the buildings that you feel like you can touch them!

We played around with different angles and different focal lengths to come up with a few different image styles below. Let me know which you like! You’ll find the full album here.
